PerfectHygiene is fully aware of the need to act in an environmentally, socially and commercially responsible way. We operate in accordance with our Environmental and Sustainability policy and our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.

As such, PerfectHygiene is committed to ensuring that environmental protection and employee welfare and development are part of all business decisions, policies and procedures.

PerfectHygiene has been delivering professional washroom and hygiene services since 2017.

Throughout this time, we have developed a comprehensive understanding of the environmental factors and sustainability requirements specific to this sector.

Environmental Management System

PerfectHygiene’s environmental performance is working towards becoming ISO 14001:2015 certified.

This enables us to:

  • Provide quality assurance that there is a systematic way of identifying and controlling our impact on the environment
  • Provide assurance to employees, customers and regulators of the organisation’s environmental responsibility
  • Demonstrate PerfectHygiene’s compliance with current legislation and regulations
  • Improve efficiency and productivity, in turn reducing costs
  • Provide a clear framework for improvement and monitoring of environmental impacts

Perfect Hygiene Environmental and Sustainability Procedures

At Perfect Hygiene our way of life is not solely dependent on the products and equipment in use.

At PerfectHygiene, our way of life is not solely dependent on the products and equipment in use, but instead is a 360-degree working ethos that embraces all aspects of our operating structure and the services we provide.

In line with the National Climate Change Strategy and EU Directives, PerfectHygiene is firmly committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business activities from the responsible management of our energy, waste and water consumption to the implementation of green working practices and products.

Our overall aim is to make PerfectHygiene a low carbon organisation dedicated to promoting a sustainable and healthy environment for our staff, our clients and the surrounding community.

PerfectHygiene has implemented, where applicable, the following environmental policies and practices to make an actual difference, in line with our continuous improvement programme:

Perfect Hygiene understands that customers will want to have confidence that they will be partnering a services provider who trade in an environmentally responsible way, especially when working within each respective client premises.

As such, within this section Perfect Hygiene has provided an outline of the policy, procedures and initiatives that we work to as a company:

  • We maintain a register of the environmental aspects associated with Perfect Hygiene operations, activities and services
  • Comply with relevant environmental legislation, regulation and industry codes of practice and maintain an up-to-date register of legislation and other requirements applicable to our operations
  • Set environmental objectives and targets which are reviewed and updated on an annual basis and monitored using internal KPIs which are reported to the Senior Management Team on a monthly basis
  • Maintain efforts to achieve continual improvement in the environmental performance of the Company and to use the requirements of ISO14001:2015 as a benchmark
  • Foster openness, dialogue and discussion with employees, clients, suppliers, contractors and all interested parties regarding the environmental performance and the environmental objectives and targets of the Company.
  • Implement a Sustainable Procurement Policy which: (i) promotes the use of recycled products, (ii) incorporates the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and (iii) takes into consideration full life cycle costs, value for money, reduced paper and packaging requirements, and other related social and environmental impacts

We encourage the highest levels of awareness and understanding of environmental issues and work closely with our clients when selecting methods of working and use of chemicals and consumable products in order to provide them with the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions.

Perfect Hygiene also works with it’s supply chain partners to ensure products provide sustainability benefits where possible. This includes utilising recycled fibres in paper products, highly efficient hand dryers and non-aerosol-based air freshener solutions.

We endeavour to reduce our carbon footprint through the increased use of renewable energy sources and the purchasing of energy efficient equipment.

To facilitate in this process, we have appointed a team of Environmental Champions who are dedicated to enhancing environmental and sustainability awareness across our business.

PerfectHygiene has introduced the following on-going projects to reduce our carbon footprint:

  • Regular sustainability awareness training sessions for all staff members
  • Conduct environmental impact surveys across operational sites
  • Appoint Environmental Champions – all operatives are trained to turn off all lights on exiting an empty office, location or walkway; resulting in reduced energy consumption and costs
  • Reduction in the amount of water and electricity used when on client premises by implementing “Good Housekeeping Practices”
  • Use only low emission vehicles as part of our fleet
  • Reorganised the allocation of contract sites to reduce the number of vehicles and travel, hence reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Introduced vehicle tracking software to optimise travel and reduce carbon emissions
  • Introduced driver training schemes to optimise capability
  • Company vehicle users are issued with fuel cards to help us measure our environmental impact
